主要研究领域为应用语言学，研究方向为心理语言学、双语或多语现象研究（主要为情绪和幽默研究）、二语习得与外语教学研究等。研究方法涉及定性和定量研究，一般采用混合研究方法。担任高水平SSCI国际期刊审稿人。
