刘义东，男，博士，副教授，1981年1月生，2008年7月毕业于北京理工大学光电工程系并获得物理电子学博士学位。现任职于电子科技大学物理学院，硕士生导师。长期从事涡旋光的应用基础研究，目前研究领域为光场调控及其与物质相互作用。目前主持自然科学基金1项（项目编号：60908034），参与国家自然科学基金3项（项目编号：11474048，11874102），主持教育部博士点基金项目1项（项目编号：20090185120016）。至今在Optics Express、New Journal of Physics、Optics Communications、JOSAA、Chinese Physics B和《物理学报》等国内外期刊上发表论文数30余篇论文。获国家授权专利3项。
